TOMORROW! Red Ribbon Movie: Smoke Signals
*Note: This event takes place during the Hand-on FAFSA Workshop for MSD25 Seniors. Details have been sent to parents/guardians of all seniors. Additional information is available HERE

Join us for pizza, beverages and a screening of Director Chris Eyre’s beautiful adaptation of a short story from screenwriter Sherman Alexie’s novel ‘The Lone Ranger and Tonto Fistfight in Heaven’ is the first film primarily directed by, produced by and starring Native Americans.

TOMORROW! Guiding Good Choices
Another round of the popular Guiding Good Choices training begins tomorrow. The class, put on by the Marysville Together Coalition, is designed to help parents and families enhance effective child management behaviors, and parent-child interactions and bonding. Join other families as they learn how to teach children skills to resist peer influence, and reduce adolescent problem behaviors. Whether you have no idea what you are doing or have it all figured out, Guiding Good Choices can help!

Unity and Wellness Month: #BeDrugFree Week
We end Unity and Wellness Month with a focus on substance abuse prevention. The Marysville School District is partnering with Tulalip Tribes Youth Services as they focus on different areas of student wellness each week in October. This week we are helping students understand that “their future is their key” with the hashtag #BeDrugFree.

It’s the season for volunteering!
What's your passion? Whether it's supporting the Marysville Emergency Cold Weather Shelter and Marysville Community Food Bank, or working with kiddos at the Marysville YMCA and Marysville Boys and Girls Club, there is sure to be a volunteer opportunity for you! Visit www.msd25.org/student-volunteers to learn about all ways you can support your community and get those service hours locked in!

All City Food Drive and Toy Store
An easy way to help your community is by participating in the All City Food Drive on Saturday, November 4, and volunteering and donating food, gifts and clothing any time leading up to the holiday season. More information on the many ways to help during the holidays can be found HERE.

Please Note: Do not call the Food Bank directly as this is their busiest time of the year.

Naviance Family Connection Information Night 
Naviance is a district-wide comprehensive Career and College Readiness planning tool for students in grades 6-12. Naviance helps students align their strengths and interests to their post-secondary goals to improve student success. All MSD25 Students in grades 6-12 and their parent or guardian are encouraged to attend. Please bring your Chromebook or a computer for best access to the information provided.

Report Bullying, Harassment and Intimidation (HIB) Safety is our top priority. That is why we use SafeSchools Alert, an anonymous tip reporting system that allows students, staff, parents and the community to submit safety concerns to our administration four different ways:

We strongly encourage students, parents and community members to utilize SafeSchools as it creates a record and each incident must be investigated.

REMEMBER: 2017 Marysville Healthy Communities SurveyThe Healthy Community Survey seeks information from Marysville adults about their views on youth substance use in the community. The data is collected by the state Department of Social and Health Services/Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery (DBHR) to support their Community Prevention and Wellness Initiative (CPWI). Results are used to better serve youth in our community through the efforts of the Marysville Together Coalition. Please take a moment to take the survey using the links below:
