The Marysville School District and Marysville Police Department wish to dispel certain rumors being circulated in the public via social media and in person; where it is alleged that a student brought a gun to campus yesterday, March 21. School Resource Officers with the Marysville Police Department and the Marysville School District did a full investigation and confirmed there was no credible threat, nor was there a gun found. Both agencies take any and all reports of weapons and threats seriously. We thank the individuals who come forward and make reports regarding these matters. Outstanding Educator and Golden Acorn Nominations (sponsored by our PTSA) The Outstanding Educator Award was created by the PTSAs to recognize individuals who have gone beyond the normal expectations of their job to make outstanding contributions to enhance the education of children. The Golden Acorn Award is for a person who has given exemplary volunteer service to children and youth in our school community. Nomination forms are available in the school's main office. Completed nominations are due March 15, 2018.
Girls 7th and 8th grade basketball and 7th and 8th grade wrestling begin on Tuesday, Jan 16!Tryouts and practice will be after school until 5:00. To participate, students must have the online forms completed. A paper copy of a physical and Grade Check forms are due at tryouts. See you there!

We hope you can join us for our Fall Conferences this week. Conferences will be held in a open arena forum in our gym on Wednesday from 1-3pm and again from 4:50-6:50pm. We will also hold conferences on Thursday from 1-3pm. Please remember that students have early release at 12:20 on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday this week. In addition to our conferences, we are holding a Parent University session on Wednesday from 9-10am and again from 6-7pm. PTSA is also holding a Book Fair in the library this week, so be sure to stop by! PTSA will be providing dinner for the teachers on Wednesday during the break between conferences. If you are interested in making a dessert donation, please drop it by the school Wednesday before 2pm. Thank you!

Cedarcrest will begin passing Chromebooks out to 7th and 8th graders on Friday 9/8 and to 6th graders on Monday 9/11. Students must turn in a completed MSD 1:1 Technology Responsible Use and Safety Agreement form for a Chromebook to be issued. Forms are available in the office and on the District Website.
8th Grade Football Begins on 8/28! The first day of practice is August 28 in the CMS Gym. Practice times are: 7AM-10AM on 8/28, 8/29, 8/30, & 8/31. Starting on 9/5, practice will be from 3:15-5PM.
The office will be open starting August 22!
