Current Kindergarten – 4th Graders who need an extra boost to reach grade level in reading.

Monday through Friday – July 8th through July 26th
Schools – (Cascade Elementary, Liberty Elementary and Quil Ceda Tulalip Elementary) Your student will be assigned a school based on bussing schedules from your address. Cascade – Cascade, Marshall, Shoultes and Pinewood Liberty – Liberty, Grove and Kellogg Marsh Quil Ceda Tulalip – Quil Ceda Tulalip, Allen Creek and Sunnyside

School schedules will be as follows:

Class – 8:30am – 11:30am
Lunch – 11:30am
Dismissal – 12:00pm

Monday through Friday – July 8th through July 26th

School – Marysville Middle School
School schedules will be as follows:

Class – 8:00am – 11:30am
Lunch – Staggered
Dismissal – 11:30am

What does it cost?
Summer Reading Success Program is free for families, paid through state and federal grants.

What about meals and transportation?

  • Breakfast and lunch are included for all students.
  • If assigned school is not with walking distance from your home – transportation will be provided.
  • If you currently reside outside of the district boundaries, transportation to summer school will be the family’s responsibility.

Why should my child attend?

  • Your child will receive 45 hours of small group focused instruction in reading and writing. We know that specific, focused instruction for struggling students is critical to on-going academic success.
  • Please commit to having your child attend all three weeks! This is targeted instruction to help your student be better prepared for 2019 – 2020.

How do I register my student and when are the registration forms due?

  • Registrations need to be submitted no later than May 1st.  Space is limited.

If your student attends Cascade, Shoultes, Quil Ceda Tulalip or Liberty Elementary, your student is invited to our 21st Century Summer Program! The program will be held Monday – Fridays starting Monday, July 8th through August 2nd. The hours will be from 12:00pm to 4:00pm right after the Summer Success in Reading program, and students will receive a free lunch and snack. Bus transportation is available to and from school, or you can pick your student up by 4:00pm. We will target specific academic skills and through our community partnerships will also offer exciting enrichment activities such as music, nutrition & fitness, literacy, and hands-on learning! We will also have weekly field trips. We would really love for your student to attend! Please contact the 21st Century coordinator at your school with any questions.
