  • The Marysville School District Payroll Office’s role in the education of our students is to provide timely and accurate processing of the payroll documentation of our employees, thereby allowing employees time to concentrate on their tasks of educating students and providing them with a safe and nurturing atmosphere in which to learn.

    The Marysville School District currently pays the employees under the guidance of five Collective Bargaining Agreements and Consultation Agreements. The Collective Bargaining Agreements and Salary Schedules are available on the Human Resources web page.

Annual Retirement Seminars

  • The Retirement Seminars for Plans 2 and 3 were well attended this year. For those of you who weren't able to come, you can use the link below to get to the Department of Retirement's online seminars. There are seminars for Deferred Compensation Program (DCP), TRS 1, PERS 1, Plan 2, Plan 3, Social Security & Health Care Options (for retirees) and VEBA. The seminars run between a half hour and an hour and a half depending on the subject matter. You will notice that a couple of the seminars have documentation that you might want to print before watching the seminar. If you have any questions, please let us know.

Group Health changes to Kaiser Permanente

  • If you haven't heard yet, Group Health is now Kaiser Permanente. They have kicked off their Brand (name change) informational campaign this week. You will see and hear the information on TV, radio, billboards, etc. We want to keep you up on what we know as we move forward. If you contact Group Health, they will be answering the phones as Kaiser Permanente. You will be receiving a welcome letter and new cards starting this week. 

    Quick facts for members

    1. Becoming part ofKaiser Permanente does not change the 2017 plan or benefits Group Health members selected during their most recent Open Enrollment period.
    2. Members will receive new ID cards. They have begun sending newKaiser Permanente ID cards to members. The new ID cards feature the Kaiser Permanente logo. Member numbers, however, will remain the same. Members should use their new KaiserPermanente ID card for all their health care services.
    3. Members are able to access their personal online accounts to manage their health from a computer or smartphone. Members can sign on from the home page at kp.org/wa, using the same member number that they had as Group Health members. When members receive care atKaiser Permanente medical offices, they can also email their care teams, just like they could in the past.
    4. Members will still be able to access Customer Service for help. There is a new local number(206-630-4636) but the toll-free number remains the same (1-888-901-4636). Customer Service is now known as Member Services.
    5. The acquisition does notaffect 2017 premiums, benefits or cost shares.
    6. You can continue to see the doctors and care teams you count on.
    7. You can continue to receive care at the same locations and hospitals you did before the acquisition.
    8. KaiserPermanente is investing in member experience, including upgrades to clinics, technology, access and more.

WEA Select Medical Changes Coming - November 1, 2017

  • As you may have heard , the WEA Board of Directors have announced tha as of November 1, 2017 that Aetna and UnitedHealthcare will comprise the new WEA Select Medical Plans offered. Premera will no longer be part of the WEA Select Medical Plan offerings, as of November 1, 2017. Those of you who are currently covered by a Premera plan should have received a notification letter in the mail.

    Currently there isn't any information as to what the Aetna or UnitedHealthcare plans will look like nor what the cost(s) of the new plans will be. We will get that information to you as soon as we receive it.

    It will be extremely important that you pay attention to all the emails and mailings you receive concerning benefits for the 2017-2018 plan year that becomes effective November 1, 2017.
