Welcome to the annual Report Card for the public school system in Marysville, Washington. This report reflects our efforts and our plans for the future. Our mission is to consistently provide quality educational opportunities for all students with a strong emphasis on academic achievement and age-appropriate activities to best prepare children for life after high school graduation.
Marysville School District is dedicated to our student's learning and serves more than 11,000 students from birth to age 21. Our program includes traditional K-12 classrooms as well as programs for special needs students from birth to age 21. As all students learn in different ways our district provides several alternatives for students to learn.
Graduates from Marysville's schools have access to scholarships and incentives to continue education and training after high school. Approximately two-thirds of our grads attend post-secondary education and have been successful at some of the top universities in the nation. Many return to establish their careers in our community in the areas of medicine, education and engineering.

Periodically, our 4th and 8th grader students participate in the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP)which is a program of the U.S. Department of Education. Commonly called The Nation's Report Card, NAEP is the only test in the United States that allows comparisons of the performance of students in Washington with performance of students nationally. Assessments are conducted in mathematics, reading, science, writing, the arts, civics, economics, geography, and U.S. history. Learn more about NAEP.
