Did you know, May is National Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, Mental Health Awareness month, Physical Fitness and Sports Month, and Better Hearing and Speech Month?!

Asian/Pacific American Heritage Month pays tribute to the generations of Asian and Pacific Islanders who have enriched America's history and are instrumental in its future success.

Mental Health Awareness Month is an opportunity to share resources with parents, staff, and community to help remove the stigma and start a conversation. As a school district we are here to help students and families understand more about mental health, how to access help, and encourage those who may suffer that they are not alone. National Physical Fitness and Sports Month was designated in 1983 by the President's Council on Fitness to promote healthy lifestyles among all Americans and improve our quality of life.

We encourage everyone to #MoveInMay, but remember to continue to practice social distancing while you're being active. There are countless ways to get moving, and many of them can be done while you stay at home.

Better Hearing & Speech Month (BHSM) provides an opportunity to raise awareness about communication disorders.
