MSD Student Musicians Chosen to Participate in Prestigious Concert

Three Grove Elementary students and two from 10th Street Middle School will represent the Marysville School District at the Junior All-State Band and Choir performances on February 17 and 18, 2024.

Msvl. WA - The Marysville School District extends immense congratulations to singers Emme Gerges, Isabelle Miller, and Taelor Riley of Grove Elementary and to clarinetist Elle Glover and saxophonist Belle Nelson of 10th Street Middle School for their selection to participate in the Washington Music Educators Association (WMEA) Junior All-State Band and Choir performances. We are so proud of these incredible students for their hard work pursuing their talents.

According to a press release issued by the WMEA, the organization received more than 1,700 audition applications for participation in this event from students around Washington State. Of the audition, about 700 students were selected, including five from the Marysville School District.

The Junior All-State performances will be at the Yakima Convention Center on February 17 and 18 (President’s Day Weekend). More information about the event is available HERE.

The District would also like to thank our outstanding music educators, Erik Eliason (Grove Elementary) and Jordan Alexander (10th Street Middle School), for their dedication to and support of these talented student musicians.
