We’re excited to share that this week, we’re launching our district’s new communication platform, called ParentSquare, to help us keep you better informed and more connected with your school community.
With ParentSquare, MSD25 families will receive all school and classroom messages in one place and translated into their preferred language—whether by email, text, app, or web.
Families will soon receive an invitation to the platform to begin setting up their accounts. Before getting started, please check your Skyward portal to ensure the contact details listed for you and other parents/guardians in your household are correct. If you need help updating your information in Skyward, please contact your child’s school.
To get the most out of ParentSquare, we encourage you to download the free mobile app, available for iOS and Android. You can also access ParentSquare from your web browser at www.parentsquare.com.

Due to power outages at schools across the system today, Dec. 17, Marysville School District will be closed.
All before and after-school activities and athletics are also canceled.
Marysville School District buses have so far been able to transport students to and from school safely. The MSD Transportation team expects that buses will continue to be able to pick up students safely tomorrow.
MSD Leadership does not anticipate any district-wide school closures or delays due to the weather, but will continue to monitor the situation overnight.
However, MSD schools are ready to provide flexibility with student tardies and absences for families who have been affected by flood road closures and evacuations.
Ultimately, our students' safety is our top priority.

MONDAY, DEC. 8: No 6th Grade Band or morning activities at Cedarcrest Middle School
Due to overnight police activity at Cedarcrest Middle School, the school will be on a three-hour delay today, Monday, Dec. 8. All morning activities at Cedarcrest are canceled today, including 6th Grade Band.
Please continue to drive around the school as you always have, but stop at the cones placed
near Portables 6 and 7. These cones help ensure the shorter buses can park where we need
them. We will remove the cones once the buses have parked.
After the cones are removed, you may drive around the shorter buses and proceed to your
usual pick-up location to collect your children—the same place you have always picked them
up.
We have attached a map to show you where to stop and where the buses will be. Thank you for your cooperation and for helping us maintain a safe environment for all students.
UPDATED 10:08 AM: Police have cleared the situation and the lockdown has been lifted
Allen Creek Elementary school is currently in a modified lockdown as a precautionary measure after receiving reports of what sounded like gunshots coming from the wooded area adjacent to the school property.
The local police department is on site and currently investigating the circumstances.
Out of an abundance of caution and to ensure the safety of everyone, we ask that you do not attempt to enter or exit the building until law enforcement has cleared the situation. We will send an update as soon as we receive clearance.
Student safety is our top priority. Thank you for your cooperation.
UPDATE: The internet has been restored.
FOR YOUR INFORMATION: The Marysville School District is experiencing a district-wide internet outage this morning. Phones are still working.
Currently there is no timeline for internet being back up, but our tech team is actively working on this and collaborating with external providers to resolve this issue as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience!
FOR YOUR INFORMATION: This afternoon during dismissal, a non-Allen Creek student required medical attention, prompting a visible presence of first responders at our school. We appreciate your patience as our staff and emergency personnel attend to this matter.

No weapons, masks, or makeup that prevent identification.
Avoid costumes with violence, gore, drugs, or alcohol references.
Costumes should not be offensive or discriminatory — costumes are for characters, not cultures.
Nothing should be placed in the mouth (such as pacifiers or false teeth).
