Stop by the MSD Career & College Fair Thursday, October 30th from 6:00-7:30pm!

The Marysville Soroptimist International Club sponsors these awards. Representatives met yesterday to review the nominated student's resumes and interview the four students. Of course, it was difficult for them to select the students to award as Marysville School District's Students of the Month for September.
The two MG senior students selected as Marysville School District's September Students of the Month are Jahmela Nucum and Kyle Reid .
Please take a moment to congratulate these students for their hard work, including their school involvement, leadership, academic achievement, and commitment to community service.
These students will be honored at an upcoming Soroptimist meeting and MSD Board of Directors meeting.

Halloween Costume Guidelines
To keep Halloween fun for everyone, here are the Marysville School District’s guidelines for folks who would like to bring or wear costumes to school:
Costumes should not be offensive or discriminatory - this includes costumes that may be based on or portray a particular race, color, sex, gender, disability, or national origin. Face paint or wigs should not be worn to portray different races or skin colors. Remember: costumes are for characters, not cultures.
Costumes cannot include weapons, simulated weapons, or props that could be dangerous to others.
Students cannot wear masks, face coverings, or make-up that results in staff being unable to identify them.
Costumes must be school-appropriate and conform to dress code standards.
Anything placed in the mouth is not allowed, like pacifiers or false teeth.
Costumes that depict violence, gore, alcohol, or drugs are not allowed.
If you have questions about whether a particular costume is appropriate, please contact your child’s school.

We here in Marine Biology are currently filling our own fish tanks. Our group, in particular, has a 40-gallon saltwater tank with room for extra items. If you happen to have any used supplies, decorations, or other items we can use for our tank, donations would be greatly appreciated.
While donations are not required by any measure, they do help our marine program here at Getchell, and we would be very grateful. From Ms. Ocheltree's Marine Biology Class
To donate, please email Ms. Ocheltree: sidney_ocheltree@msvl.k12.wa.us
