Conferences are next week. Students will be released at 1:05pm Wednesday, November 20 - Wednesday, November 27.

Pinewood’s Veteran’s Day Assembly – We would like to honor our Veterans at our assembly. Veterans, please join us on Friday, November 8 at the Pinewood Elementary Gym from 10:00 to 11:00 am. Following the assembly, cake, coffee and juice will be served to our Veterans and their Pinewood Student.

Picture retake day is next week - Tuesday, November 5th. If you want your child’s picture retaken send their picture envelope with their pictures back to school. Your child will take the envelope with them when they go to get their picture retaken and the same package will be ordered with the new picture. If your child was absent the day of pictures, or if they are new to Pinewood, a picture packet should have been sent home with them. If you need a picture packet they are available in the office.

Just a reminder that the PTSA fundraiser items will be available for pick up on Wednesday, October 23rd from 3:00-6:30 pm under the covered area of the playground. Due to lack of storage and no freezer space items must be picked up during this time. Thank you for your understanding.

Vision Screening – The week of October 21-25 – Our District Nurse, Mrs. Nyblod, and Our Healthroom Assistant, Mrs. Nemra, will be going into classes and conducting vision screening using Welch Allyn Spot Vision Screeners – a handheld photo screener. This is only a screening. You will receive a notice for referral to a vision specialist if the screening results are out of normal range. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our building nurse.

Just a few missed days here and there, even if they’re excused absences, can add up to too much lost learning time and put your student behind in school. This is as true in kindergarten as it is in high school. Be a #HERO...Here Everyday Ready On Time!
