At a recent special meeting of the Marysville School District Board of Directors, the Board adopted the Marysville School District's Legislative Priorities 2024.
The Marysville School District believes that providing a free public education that provides for the educational, social, emotional, mental health, and diverse needs of every student served is a fundamental human right. We ask the legislature to look closely at the negative impacts on districts such as Marysville caused by the current funding structure. We appreciate and value the efforts of the legislators to create a funding system that meets the needs equitably. Each student deserves nothing less. These Legislative Priorities are developed to inform local legislators, families, community members, and staff about the priority areas important and necessary to provide services to adequately meet the needs of all students district-wide.
