Summer Services Images

The final bell has rung and the last bus departed, but the work to support our students and families continues to be a priority for the Marysville School District and its community partners over the summer.

In our effort to assure our students continue to eat healthy throughout the summer months, and thanks to the Marysville School District’s summer meal program, kids and teens can eat FREE at nine facilities across the District from June 25 through August 17! Locations include Allen Creek Elementary, Cascade Elementary, Liberty Elementary, Shoultes Elementary, Quil Ceda Tulalip Elementary, Beach Street Boys and Girls Club, Wellington Apartments, Cedar Grove Apartments, and a new location at Marysville-Pilchuck High School!

The program is FREE to those 18 years of age and younger, and your child does not need to be enrolled in school to participate. Adults 19 years of age and older can also participate at a cost of $4 for breakfast and $4.50 for lunch. Lunch and breakfast times, addresses and additional details can be found at www.bit.ly/SummerMeals2018.

This summer, we also need your help “Stuffing the Bus” with school supplies to help all kids in the District be prepared for a successful school year in fall. The “Stuff the Bus” campaign is made possible by the Marysville Salvation Army, Marysville Community Food Bank, Marysville Parks Recreation and Culture Department and many more business and non-profits dedicated to making a difference for our community’s children.

If you are interested in donating or volunteering, there are many ways to help! The campaign will kick off on July 10 from noon to 6 p.m. at the Marysville Grocery Outlet and Coastal Farm and Ranch on State Street. Supplies will continue to be collected until August 10. Financial donations can be made online at www.bit.ly/SchoolSuppliesDonation and volunteers for the kick off, sorting and organizing, and distribution can sign up at www.bit.ly/STB2018Volunteers.  A variety of locations are collecting supplies, including the School District Service Center, all City of Marysville buildings, the Marysville Library and many more. Just look for those familiar red Food Bank Barrels with a bus added! More details can be found at www.bit.ly/STB2018Locations.

If you are or have a student in the Marysville School District and need help getting your child school supplies for the fall, you can find an application form at www.bit.ly/suppliesneedsapp or stop in the Marysville Salvation Army located at 7227 44th Ave NE, Marysville.

And don’t forget all the ways you can help your child keep their mind sharp over the summer. Several school libraries will be open during the summer months and Kellogg Marsh Elementary will continue the reading on the Road Program in partnership with the Marysville North County YMCA! All kids are invited to receive healthy snacks, take home a free book, and get active! The Kellogg Marsh team will be located at the Cedar Grove Apartments and Cedars on 67th Apartments

every Wednesday from July 19 to August 1 from 11 a.m. to noon.

The Marysville Library has many great summer programs for kids and families. Learn more at www.sno-isle.org. Finally, don’t forget to experience all the City of Marysville has to offer with their parks, summer camps and children’s concerts and movies! Learn more at www.marysvillewa.gov.

On behalf of the Marysville School District and our partners, thank you for keeping our kids safe, healthy and happy this summer!
