Student Spotlight

Emanuel Alberto is a 6th-grade student at Cedarcrest Middle School. He recently participated in the Pacific Northwest Middle and High School Judo Championships at Kentridge High School in Kent, WA earlier this month, where he placed 2nd. In March, Emanuel competed in the Youth National Judo Championships held in Salt Lake City, Utah, where he placed 3rd. He also competed in the 2024 US Open Judo Championship in Ft Lauderdale, Florida, last July, where he placed 3rd in golden score.

In addition, Emanuel and his brother, Innozen Alberto, an 8th-grade student also at Cedarcrest Middle School, received a Bronze medal for the 2024 President's Volunteer Service Award. This award is a prestigious honor to celebrate individuals who dedicate their time in voluntary service to the community. 

Congratulations to Emanuel on each of the impressive accomplishments at the competitions, both local and national. And congratulations to both Emanuel and Innozen for their volunteer service award. We are so proud of each of you!
