In-District Transfer Requests for the 2021 - 2022 School Year

Priority Windows:
Grades 1-12:  February 1-28, 2021
Kindergarten: February 1 - March 31, 2021

The Marysville School District’s In-District Transfer Request window for the 2021 - 2022 school year opens February 1, 2021.  If a transfer request is submitted after the priority dates listed above, but before June 1, the request will be reviewed no later than June 15, 2021.

While it is always recommended for child(ren) to attend their neighborhood school, we understand that circumstances may exist which creates the need to request a transfer to a school other than the neighborhood school.

Parents/guardians interested in enrolling their child(ren) in a school other than their neighborhood school or in one of the district’s option programs (listed below), only need to complete an In-District Transfer Request one time during the grade span of that school. A new request is only required if circumstances change; such as moving to a different address or requesting a different school once a transfer is approved. 

Marysville and Tulalip residents have first priority for in-district transfer requests.

Beginning February 1, 2021, transfer requests may be submitted online on the Marysville School District website. Once an application is made online, a confirmation email will be sent. If access to submit the form online is not available, visit the Marysville School District Service Center, 4220 80th ST NE, Marysville, WA 98270, Monday-Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm for assistance.

If a residence is not within the Marysville School District attendance area boundaries, please do NOT submit an in-district transfer request. A Choice Transfer for out-of-district attendance should be used for this purpose.

If approved for an in-district transfer or choice transfer (out-of-district request), parents/guardians are responsible to transport their child(ren) to and from school.
