📸 School Picture Retakes – Friday, December 5, 2025

If your child missed Picture Day on August 26 or November 12, or if they would like their photo retaken, picture retakes will take place the morning of Friday, December 5.

If you already ordered photos but your child was absent on their picture day, you do not need to do anything. Their photo will automatically be taken on December 5.

If your child is having retakes, please make sure they bring their original photo packet to return to the photographers. There is no cost for retakes unless you plan to keep the original packet, in which case you will need to place a new order using the link below.

📷 To order photos for the December 5 picture day:
https://v2.myproimages.com/kids-photography-2111/53242/search?code=LIBERTYFall25MUD

Orders must be placed by 10pm on December 4.

Please note: This link is not for ordering additional copies of photos taken on August 26 or November 12. For those, please use the order form included in the photo packet coming home this week.

Dear Liberty Families,

We want to make you aware of an event happening near our campus tomorrow morning that may be noticeable to students, staff, and families during arrival.

The Marysville Police Department will be conducting scheduled field training at the old Liberty building across the street. This training may include:

** Multiple police vehicles

** Occasional noise (sirens or brief popping sounds)

** Flashing lights

Training is expected to begin around 8:00 a.m., though an exact end time is not yet known.

Please know there is no impact to our campus, and this activity is being coordinated with the district. School routines will continue as normal, and staff will be ready to reassure any students who may have questions or feel uneasy.

We’re sharing this information ahead of time so families are not surprised by the increased police presence during morning arrival.

As always, the safety and well-being of our students remain our highest priority. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out.

Warmly,
Brian Tinsley & Travis Hammond

BUILDING UPDATE: School will run on a regular schedule at Liberty Elementary today, Monday, November 10, as planned. Our mitigation teams have confirmed that the air quality meets standards for our staff and students to return to the building and operate safely.

However, our teams want access to the cafeteria and the main gym due to lingering odor and needed repairs, so we will reschedule today’s Veteran’s Day assembly, and lunch will be eaten in classrooms.

Thank you for your understanding.

Hello, Liberty Elementary Families

A small fire occurred in a closet in the girls’ locker room on Sunday morning. The Marysville Fire Department responded immediately and quickly extinguished the fire. There was no structural damage beyond the affected closet.

There is, however, a light smoke odor in the gym and cafeteria areas. Professional mitigation crews are on site today using air scrubbers to remove any remaining odor, and they anticipate completing this process within the next 8–10 hours.

At this time, we do not anticipate cancelling or delaying school. A final decision will be made at approximately 5:00 a.m. tomorrow after we receive the air quality report from the mitigation team. Families and staff will be notified of any updates by about 6:00 a.m.

The safety of our students and staff remains our highest priority. If air quality does not meet safety standards, we will not hesitate to cancel school. We appreciate your understanding and thank our maintenance and custodial teams for their diligent work in ensuring the building is safe and ready for Monday morning.

UPDATE: The internet has been restored.

FOR YOUR INFORMATION: The Marysville School District is experiencing a district-wide internet outage this morning. Phones are still working.

Currently there is no timeline for internet being back up, but our tech team is actively working on this and collaborating with external providers to resolve this issue as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience!

Memory Lane
Attention All Liberty Alumni – Past and Present As this school year comes to a close, the Liberty Elementary School building will be closing, and we will be relocating to the MMS building site. While our location is changing, we will proudly remain Liberty Elementary. As part of this transition, we are on a mission to locate the Liberty Time Capsule that was buried on our current campus. We believe we have a general idea of its location, but we lack the proper equipment to find it. That’s where you come in! We are reaching out to our alumni community for assistance in uncovering this piece of Liberty history. If you have any information or resources that could help us in our search, please contact the Liberty Office at (360) 965-1800. Let’s work together to rediscover the past as we step into the future!
