Students across Washington state in grades 6, 8, 10 and 12 will take the Healthy Youth Survey Oct. 8-19. The survey includes questions related to physical activity and diet, unintentional and intentional injury, substance use, risk and protective factors and access to school-based services. The Marysville School District and Marysville Police Department wish to dispel certain rumors being circulated in the public via social media and in person; where it is alleged that a student brought a gun to campus yesterday, March 21.
School Resource Officers with the Marysville Police Department and the Marysville School District did a full investigation and confirmed there was no credible threat, nor was there a gun found.
Both agencies take any and all reports of weapons and threats seriously. We thank the individuals who come forward and make reports regarding these matters. If you have further questions, please contact the Marysville Police Department’s non-emergency line at (360) 363-8300.
