KEY DATES FOR 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR: While district and labor leaders continue developing next year’s school year calendar, we know it's important for our staff and families to be able to plan.
With that in mind, we are sharing some of the key dates we’ve confirmed for the 2026-2027 school year. Some dates, like the final day of school next year, are still to be determined, and the final calendar is subject to board approval.
We will share the full school year calendar with you upon receiving the board’s final approval later this spring. Here’s what we know as of today:
September 3, 2026: First Day for 1st-9th & All Grades at LHS
September 4, 2026: First Day for 10th-12th at MG, MP, THHS
September 7, 2026: No School (Labor Day)
September 9, 2026: First Day of Kindergarten
October 12, 2026: No School (Indigenous Peoples’ Day)
November 11, 2026: No School (Veterans Day)
November 26 and 27, 2026: No School (Thanksgiving)
December 21, 2026: through January 1, 2027: No School (Winter Break)
January 18, 2027: No School (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)
February 12, 2027: No School (Presidents’ Day Break)
February 15, 2027: No School (Presidents’ Day)
April 5, 2027, through April 9, 2027: No School (Spring Break)
May 31, 2027: No School (Memorial Day)
