Getchell Families
The Fall SBA State Assessment in English and Math for 9th, 11th and 12th grade students will be taking place Thursday October 21st. Testing will take place on campus starting at 7:15AM promptly. Testing locations and rosters of students needing to test are located near the stairs on the main floor of each building and will be communicated through their teachers. Please communicate to your student that State Assessment is a graduation requirement and it is important to take notice and be present on the days of testing. Also, please make sure your students know to bring their Chromebooks and have them fully charged and updated each morning along with a charger and a set of headphones. Thank you for your support and have a good day.

MG Families,
The fall 2021 PSAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test is scheduled for Wednesday, October 13th. All sophomores and juniors are eligible to take this optional test, however; only juniors are eligible for the National Merit Scholarship award. The National Merit Scholarship Program is a United States academic scholarship competition for recognition and university scholarships administered by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. Testing will take place starting at 7:15 AM promptly on the MG campus. There are a limited number of testing slots and this is on a first come first serve basis. Registration opens on Wednesday September 22nd and the deadline to register is October 8th. The cost for this test is $18 for each student. Please see the cashier to sign up for this test.
We still plan to offer the PSAT for 10th grade and the SAT for 11th grade for free in the spring.

The Fall 2021 PSAT/NMSQT (National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test) is scheduled for Wednesday, October 13th. All sophomores and juniors are eligible to take this test, however; only juniors are eligible for the National Merit award. Sophomores would only be taking it for practice.
Testing will take place starting promptly at 7:15AM on the MG campus. This test will take approximately 4 hours. There are a limited number of testing slots and this is on a first come first serve basis. Registration opens on September 22nd and the deadline to register is October 8th unless spots fill before this date. The cost for this test is $18 for each student. Please see the cashier in the EF building on the MG campus to sign up for this test and please remember to wear a mask.

Due to the current Covid situation testing will follow all district protocols.

The 2020-2021 Marysville Getchell Yearbook has been inducted into the Walsworth Gallery of Excellence. Walsworth has selected the MGHS 20-21 Yearbook to be one of “the shining stars of scholastic journalism, inspiring thousands with their quality display of theme, coverage, design, photography, and copy.” The book will be showcased all over the country as an example book in workshops and at conventions. Also, look for the book to be highlighted on social media and the Idea File magazine. This MGHS Yearbook staff worked incredibly hard and created an amazing book in an amazingly difficult year.
