Good afternoon, Tomahawk Families. We are very excited to kick off the 2020-21 school year! This is a reminder that school starts on September 9th and all classes will be online. Our counselors are hard at work with schedules and the best thing your student can do to be prepared is to login to Skyward to see their schedule and check their student emails frequently. It is of critical importance that each student attend their classes on days 1-4. Absences during this time may result in loss of enrollment and your student may end up needing to re-enroll. Please help us stress this and assist your student in putting together a plan for the first day. Our teachers will reach out to students with information on how to access online classes prior to the 9th. For more information on the plan for schools this fall please visit the MSD25 website. We will also have a parent information night at 6PM on September 14th (via Zoom, details TBD). Enjoy your Labor Day weekend! Christine Bromley, MPHS Principal

Good News! Free Meals Program Extended The USDA recently passed a waiver to extend the free meals program into the fall. This extension means that our school district will be able to continue to provide free meals for all children ages 1 - 18 and those enrolled in our online and 18 - 21-year old programs. This good news significantly impacts our program and the ways we can provide meal services for children. We had recently shared that the free meal program had ended and adjusted the way that meals would be available. With the new extension, we are now working on developing our meal distribution procedure for the start of school and into the fall. It will be different from the spring and the summer in some ways, but most importantly, we will be able to continue to provide free meals for children. Please stay tuned for more information in the coming days.

Greetings, Class of 2024! I am Mr. Hutchison and I will be the school counselor for all incoming freshmen here at Marysville-Pilchuck High School this coming school year. I'm excited to meet you! Let's talk about first steps toward next year-registering for your classes. Our registration system is open and we are having current high school 9th-11th graders register for their next year classes. We've found out that Skyward allowed current 8th graders (who will be freshmen at MP next year) to access registration now, however the full freshmen menu of classes was not yet loaded into the system and that feature has now been turned off. What this means is that some current 8th grade students have been able to register for some classes, but this is not based on the full freshmen set of classes. Even though the system may have allowed you to choose some classes, please know that this was not the time for incoming 8th graders to register. Here's what this means for incoming freshmen in terms of registration: We want freshmen to register starting April 27th. At that time, we will open the full set of freshmen courses. Registration will last for two weeks from that date, and is not first-come, first-served in terms of getting your names on class lists. As long as you register within that two week window (April 27th-May 11th), your chances of getting a class are the same as everyone else's. A few days before registration opens for freshmen, we will be sending out all the documents needed to guide you through this process. If you are an incoming freshmen and have already registered, please login on April 27th and redo your registration. Thank you for your time, students and parents. I look forward to seeing you in person in the fall. It is important that you finish your 8th grade year strong and get all the learning you can out of your classes. Take care and stay healthy! Good afternoon, unfortunately all rooter, band, and cheer buses have been cancelled for both Friday and Saturday's State Basketball games. If your student purchased a ticket for tomorrow's rooter bus they can come to see Mrs. Jones in the cashier's office for a refund. Thank you.

Our MPHS Open House & Electives fair scheduled for tonight, March 5th, has been canceled and will be rescheduled for a later date. This is due to the School Board's decision to postpone the high school boundary vote, we would like to allow a few weeks time for 8th-grade students to discuss high school options with their families. We'll publicize our rescheduled date once set.
