My name is Corina Hansen, and I am truly honored and excited to introduce myself as the new Assistant Principal at Quil Ceda Tulalip Elementary.
I’ve proudly served as an educator in the Marysville School District for 19 years, with 11 of those years right here at QCT, teaching students from first through fifth grade. Most recently, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside staff as a literacy coach, supporting classroom instruction and student learning across the building. This next step into school leadership feels like a natural continuation of my commitment to our school and community.
I am passionate about helping all students thrive—academically, socially, and emotionally. I believe in the importance of attending to the whole child and creating spaces where every student feels seen, valued, and empowered to achieve their full potential. I’m especially excited to continue working in partnership with our families, staff, and the Tulalip Tribes to uphold the strong foundation we’ve built together at QCT.
On a personal note, I live a full and joyful life with my girlfriend, my four children, two grandchildren, and three fur babies. When I’m not at school, I love exercising, dancing, and watching movies—especially anything that makes me laugh or inspires me.
I look forward to deepening the relationships I’ve built over the years and getting to know those of you I haven’t yet had the chance to meet. Please don’t hesitate to stop by and say hello—I am here to serve, support, and grow with you.

Dr. Chelsea Craig, Principal
Quil Ceda Tulalip Elementary
Proud Member of the Tulalip Tribes
Welcome! My name is Dr. Chelsea Craig, and I am deeply honored to serve as the Principal of Quil Ceda Tulalip Elementary. As a proud Tulalip Tribal member and lifelong resident of this community, my journey in education has always been rooted in love, service, and a deep commitment to our people.
I began my own educational path as a kindergartener at Tulalip Elementary and graduated from Marysville Pilchuck High School. I went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Education with a Teaching Certification, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, a Master’s in Educational Leadership, and my Principal Credentials from the University of Washington Bothell. Most recently, I completed my Doctorate in Educational Leadership through the University of Washington’s Leadership for Learning Program.
Over the past 25+ years, I’ve had the privilege to serve our Tulalip/Marysville community in many roles: as a 2nd Grade Teacher, Librarian, Reading Specialist, Cultural Specialist, and now as Principal. Every role has deepened my passion for reimagining what education can and should be for our students.
My mission is to transform the story of education in our community—by centering Indigenous knowledge, honoring the voices of our families, and creating a learning environment that cultivates life, love, and healing. Together, we are building a school that reflects the brilliance of our children and the strength of our ancestors.

Dear QCT Families, As we move into the spring season, we want to take a moment to share an observation we often see each year around this time. With longer daylight hours, more evening activities, changes in routines, and the anticipation of summer break, we sometimes notice an increase in student behaviors that are less conducive to learning in the classroom. Additionally, this time of year brings important spring assessments and academic wrap-up tasks that can add to student stress and fatigue. These seasonal changes are completely normal, but they can impact students’ focus, energy levels, and ability to stay on track with their learning goals. That’s why we believe it’s more important than ever to work together to help students finish the school year strong. Here are a few ways you can help support your child at home: Maintain Consistent Routines: Try to keep bedtime and morning routines steady, even with the longer daylight and evening events. Adequate sleep and predictable schedules help students feel more grounded and ready to learn. Talk About School Daily: Ask your child about their day, what they’re learning, and how they feel about their progress. These conversations show your child that their learning is important and valued. Encourage Responsibility and Self-Monitoring: This is a great time to talk with your child about staying focused, being respectful, and putting forth their best effort—even when it feels tempting to shift into “summer mode.” Stay Connected With Teachers: Don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns. We are here to support you and your child and appreciate your collaboration in addressing any challenges early. Celebrate Small Successes: As we prepare for end-of-year milestones, acknowledging your child’s growth and hard work—no matter how big or small—goes a long way in keeping them motivated. We are proud of the progress our students have made and are excited to finish the school year on a positive note. With your continued partnership, we know we can help your child stay focused, engaged, and successful through the final months of school. Thank you for all that you do! Warmly, QCT administration and staff

Dental Sealant Program Information: We are excited to inform you about the upcoming Sealant Program at your child's school. This program aims to promote dental health among students. They will also identify if any molars need to have sealants placed. 2. Fluoride: A varnish which helps prevent cavities and protect teeth. 3. Sealants: A protective coating applied to molar teeth to prevent cavities. Benefits of the Program: 1. Convenience this program will take place during school hours. 2.
