Families, Mari's Place For The Arts is a community partner that will be offering free dance classes in our QCT gym on Fridays after school in the month of February. These sessions will focus on traditional cultural dances from around the world -- Mexico, Thailand, etc. There are 25 available slots. Sign up at www.marisplaceforthearts.org/scholarships. This is an awesome (and free) opportunity to build a love a reading with your child/ren alongside facilitators from Marysville Library, QCT, and the community! The Highly Capable Program Information Night for parents and guardians is tonight, Wednesday, December 18, at 6:00 p.m. at the Marysville Getchell High School Campus, 8301 84th Street NE. The meeting will be held in Building A and will include a group presentation and breakout sessions to share information on various program areas.

12/18/24, 6:40 a.m.: The district is experiencing intermittent power outages at Marysville Getchell High School and Sunnyside Elementary School. PUD is working to restore power as soon as possible. We will provide an update as soon as more information is received. Currently, there are no school schedule modifications.

The MSD Board of Directors will hold two work study sessions on school closures on December 9 and 12 at 4:30 p.m. in the board room. The board is also seeking feedback on the current options. Go to https://bit.ly/SchoolClosureFeedback to access the form.

This free dental screening "opt in" and is for K-3 & 5 grade students. “Smile Check” is a quick screen by dental professionals to see if students have any dental issues. Smile Check has 3 categories; Routine - all good, no cavities seen; Urgent, small cavities seen; Emergent – big cavities seen, infection seen, or if a student is in pain. It usually takes about 1-2 minutes per student to complete.

Out of an abundance of caution, Marysville School District will hold a 2-hour late start for all schools and transportation to out-of-district programs on Wednesday, 11/20, due to power outages and downed trees and power lines. There will be no AM Skill Center transportation or half-day preschool classes (AM or PM).

The Marysville Community Food Bank Toy Store is gearing up for another season of giving to help families in the Marysville and Tulalip communities. The Toy Store is a community-led effort to support families during the holiday season. In addition to the Toy Store, a reminder that the Food Bank located behind St. Mary's Catholic Church on 88th and State Avenue is open to everyone who is in need of food any time of the year. The Toy Store will be open from December 9 - 12. Families needing extra support must register to participate, which is open now through November 30. The registration flyer with a QR code is attached.
