QCT Families,
The external lockdown has now been lifted. The Tulalip Police has fully investigated and confirmed that there was no direct threat to QCT or our students and staff. This is a situation of a young person processing something with their peers regarding ICE (immigration enforcement) entering schools that they saw on TikTok and made them feel uncomfortable. Tulalip officers confirmed that this was a miscommunication and there was no threat. We will always proceed with caution and fully investigate any reports that come to us. Your child’s safety is our top priority.
Sincerely,
Sarah-Marie Boerner, Principal

Good morning, Quil Ceda Tulalip Families,
We are writing to inform you that the police are on campus investigating a potential threat that was reported following an online conversation between 3rd-grade students. One of the students stated they "saw something on an app.”
As a precautionary measure and at the police's request, we have implemented an external lockdown. This means all exterior doors are locked, but the school day will continue as normal.
We are committed to maintaining a safe learning environment and will provide updates as soon as possible.
Sarah Marie Boerner, Principal

Dear families,
As you may have heard, this will be the final year for our principal of the last five years and we have new building administration who are currently being onboarded to lead the school in the 2025-2026 school year and beyond. You may see elements of this transition this Spring as current and new leadership partner around planning for next school year. In the meantime, please read this message from our current and incoming principals and assistant principal: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Wq351SYRhl-WF1Y2X989llHIuiEF0SX_fCSpmUE6nQs/edit?usp=sharing. Thank you for your leadership Mrs. Boerner and congratulations Dr. Craig and Ms. Hansen!

We hope you can join us tomorrow morning in the cafeteria!

Hello Families!
Our district nurse would like to share the following information with everyone about lice prevention. We try to send out this reminder periodically throughout the school year. Please take a moment to check your child for head lice during these colder months! If you suspect your student has lice, begin treatment and the disinfection process. Things that would need to be washed on hot and cleaned are stuffed animals, beddings, beanies, hats, clothes, and anything else that comes into direct contact with your students hair. More information about lice and lice prevention can be found here: https://kidshealth.org/en/parents/head-lice.html

Please join us every Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. through the month of March for a free dinner and evening with read alouds as part of the Prime Time Reading program. This program is in partnership with Marysville Public Library. All families and siblings welcome! We will be meeting this evening for dinner in the QCT library. See you there!
